Franco Fojanini
My photographic adventure
started years ago, in 1973, when my father presented me with my first 35
mm SLR camera,
a Yashica. I remember that I immediately joined a course to learn about
the darkroom development of b&w photos. Also, I bought a compact Rollei
camera to increase options at my disposal and entered in various b&w
photographic contests (where I started distinguishing myself). My passion
and desire to snap pictures grew and, at the beginning of the 80’s I
bought an old Hasselblad 6x6 and used it to perform various photo
features, indoor as well as outdoor. In the 80’s and 90’s I switched
completely to slides and to Cibacrome printing performing photo features
during my frequent travels abroad countries such as Burma,
Indonesia, Thailand, Sri

Lanka, Maldives and various
European countries. During those travels I captured some of the portraits
available on the pages of this web site (be warned that the quality of the
conversion from slides to digital is not perfect). During 1998 I bought my
first digital camera, an Olympus 1400L (1.4 mega pixels), which helped me
to gradually transition from slides to digital and to learn the
differences that digital brings to shooting and post-processing images.
Currently I only take digital photographs. I specialized in landscapes,
cityscapes, architecture and portrait photography. I also arrange digital
photography courses.
